IIMC(UK) is a UK registered charity (1066834)
There are 6 trustees based in Hemel Hempstead, Herts. and most of the work in fundraising is co-ordinated by Tony Jackson and his wife Jackie.

The main function is to manage the 100+ Indian children who are sponsored for their education by people in UK.
Other fund raising events are organised on an occasional basis, and we process a range of small and large donations.
All the Health, Education and Development work is done by the IIMC in India. The work of this excellent NGO can be seen on their website - www.iimcmissioncal.org

The work of IIMC covers a range of activities.
It started by offering medical services to the poor.
The need to ensure access to education was then tackled with a sponsorship system. (Currently helping about 2400 children) IIMC has opened and runs 19 rural schools.
Poverty was then tackled with work creation schemes, and recently an extensive micro-finance network.
Health Education was developed with an outreach, village based approach. IIMC is now a leader in the area in Health Promotion, running a self-help network and leading 35 other local NGOs.

We are seeking support in any of these ways-
1.Sponsoring a child's education (£10 a month)
2.Giving donations for a number of projects that we are supporting, including the development of the new Handicapped Centre.
3.Giving your services as a volunteer. We have a need for nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, teachers to give direct help and to advise local staff and volunteers.
